Zeolite Detoxifying Toothpaste

Making your own toothpaste is SIMPLE!

All you’ll need is Zeolite clay, spring water, and a good quality essential oil or blend.

Start by mixing your clay with the water to make a thick paste. a LITTLE water goes a long way with this, so I like to start with a half cup of clay and 2 tablespoons of water and add water as need a sprinkle at a time.

Once the clay and water is mixed well into a nice paste, add about 10-15 drops of essential oils. I like to use Spearmint, peppermint, or a blend that has cinnamon leaf, sweet orange, and mint.

You can store your toothpaste in a many different containers. One of my favorite ways to store it is in one of these types of re-usable baby food pouches or something similar.

I understand wintergreen essential oil can be toxic in your body if used regularly over time. I love the taste of wintergreen…would it be okay to use this lovely oil in your toothpaste recipe and still swallow?

Also, I also understand that our mouths harbor a ton germs so I was surprised to see that you swallowed after brushing, not because of the toothpaste, but because of the germs in our mouth after working the germs from our gums and teeth??

Loved your video!! I have ordered my zeolite and can’t wait to receive it in the mail. Couldn’t find it in any of the health food stores in my area:( I’m so thankful you shared the benefits of Zeolite clay and how it can get rid of the metals accumulated in our bodies!!

Would love to get your feedback on my two questions! Thanks so much !

    1. Hi Kelly! I am glad you ordered your Zeolite! I absolutely love it! We use it for SO many things! Not just toothpaste! We make clay facial masks, add a small amount to water to help purify it (add a teaspoon or two to a big glass of water. Stir and let settle. Pour water into another glass leaving the clay water in the bottle of the original glass. Drink the new glass of water!), make clay packs to help with swollen injuries or first aid, and more!

I would like to say that I would NOT RECOMMEND ever swallowing wintergreen essential oil. It IS toxic. I would use a small amount of peppermint or spearmint. You can also use lemon essential oil or orange essential oil instead! You can also use xylitol or stevia to sweeten if needed. I did not sweeten mine.

For about 4oz total of clay mixture (about a tube of toothpaste) you could try adding:
-9 or 10 drops of cinnamon essential oil and one drop of tea tree essential oil.

-9 or 10 drops of peppermint essential oil and one drop of tea tree essential oil.

      – 10-15 drops of spearmint essential oil and one drop of tea tree essential oil

      – 3 drops of lemon essential oil, 3 drops of lime essential oil, 2 drops of sweet orange essential oil, 2 drops of tangerine essential oil, one drop of tea tree essential oil.

If you want to sweeten it, use sweet water (with xylitol or stevia) to hydrate the clay. You can make the sweet water by mixing a small amount of xylitol or stevia with warm water. I have also started putting my mixes in a refillable 4oz baby food “pouch.” It’s perfect for a toothpaste tube! You can buy the refillable pouches online!

My understanding about the swallowing of the clay is that it continues to help flush the toxins from your body as it moves through your system. Also, people swallow their saliva, their food, their drinks, etc all day every day! All of those thing are going through their teeth and mouth first 😉

Thank you so much for sharing all of that information. Very helpful!!

Is there a website I can go to, specifically for all the uses of the zeolite?
